This position provides administrative and operational support across
all areas of Tisch College, contributing to the effective functioning of student programs, research centers, the communications team, and
administrative operations. Working collaboratively with staff across the College, the role helps coordinate day-to-day activities, supports
cross-functional initiatives, and ensures efficient office and program operations.
What You’ll Do
- Under
limited supervision, the Administrative Program Assistant provides advanced administrative and operational support across all areas of Tisch
College, including student programs, research centers, the communications team, and administrative operations. - The position performs
a wide range of complex and diverse administrative duties, including organizing and maintaining files and databases; creating and updating
forms, student applications, and tracking systems; supporting the planning and implementation of programs and projects; and coordinating
logistics for meetings, events, travel, and guest speakers. - The person will serve as part of a collaborative team that works
together to address the dynamic needs of the college. The Administrative Program Assistant serves as a key administrative resource for staff
across the College, providing information, troubleshooting issues, and supporting day-to-day operations. - The position provides
general guidance on departmental policies and procedures, communicates information on behalf of managers as appropriate, and assists with a
variety of administrative processes. - Responsibilities include preparing and submitting forms and requests, supporting purchasing and
business operations, coordinating office activities, and coordinate all aspects of events from start to finish, including planning,
logistics, vendor and speaker coordination, on-site support, and post-event activities. - Strong communication, organizational, and
problem-solving skills are essential to effectively collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, including students, faculty, staff,
community partners, and external visitors. - The successful candidate will demonstrate cultural awareness and agility, build positive
working relationships across diverse teams, exercise sound judgment, and handle confidential information with discretion while managing
multiple priorities and competing deadlines. - This position is a member of the Administration team and reports to the Associate
Director of Business Operations. - While based within the administrative unit, the Administrative Program Assistant provides support
to departments and initiatives across Tisch College, serving as a central resource that helps ensure the efficient operation of the
College.

Basic Requirements:
Knowledge and experience
typically acquired by:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 1-3 years of related administrative office experience.
- Experience
working in a culturally diverse environment, with a commitment to inclusive excellence, with people representing diverse social identities
and political perspectives. - Excellent communications skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong technology
skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience and knowledge of structures
and systems within higher education. - Experience with Adobe products such as Adobe Illustrator.
- Ability to collaborate and
communicate effectively with practitioners and other stakeholders in a variety of communities with racial and economic
diversity.
Pay Range
Minimum $25.20, Midpoint $30.10, Maximum $34.90
Salary is based on related
experience, expertise, and internal equity; generally, new hires can expect pay between the minimum and midpoint of the range.
