Position Title: Assistant Director of Enterprise Applications

Web and Application Systems
Position Summary:
The Assistant Director
of Enterprise Applications plays a key role in the administration, optimization, and strategic development of the University’s enterprise
systems, with primary responsibility for the Student Information System (SIS) and its integrations. This position combines technical depth
with operational leadership and project management. The Assistant Director partners closely with campus partners such as Enrollment
Management, Office of the Registrar, Business Office, Academic Affairs, University Advancement, Student Success and Engagement, and
Institutional Research to ensure data integrity, system reliability, and scalable solutions that support institutional goals. The Assistant
Director will also serve as a member of a cross-functional, University stakeholder team to share knowledge, innovate, explore, and choose
new products as needed. The Assistant Director also collaborates with the Dominican University Information Technology (DU-IT) security team
to advocate for and implement best practices related to data and information security.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Supervisory
Scope:- This role may supervise student employees.
- Student Information
System (SIS) Administration- Configure modules, maintain data integrity, and manage upgrades and patches.
- Troubleshoot
complex system issues in collaboration with functional offices. - Develop documentation and system governance standards.
- Systems Integration & Data Management
- Design, implement, and maintain
integrations between the SIS and third-party systems (e.g., LMS, CRM, financial aid system, payment platform, housing, analytics
tools). - Develop and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and reports to support institutional reporting and operational
needs. - Use PowerShell to automate administrative tasks, data processes, and system workflows.
- Monitor data exchanges and
resolve data discrepancies across systems. - Support API-based integrations and secure data transmission protocols.
- Design, implement, and maintain
- Reporting & Business Intelligence Support
- Partner with the Office of Institutional
Research and functional departments to support data extraction and reporting needs. - Ensure compliance with data governance, FERPA,
and institutional data policies. - Develop data validation routines and reconciliation processes.

- Project Management
- Lead or co-lead enterprise application projects from requirements gathering
through implementation and post-go-live support. - Develop project plans, timelines, and documentation.
- Ensure projects
align with institutional priorities and IT strategic plans.

- Operational
Leadership- Assist the Director of Systems and Analytics Services in strategic planning for enterprise applications.
- Participate in change management planning and user communication efforts.
- Contribute to disaster recovery and business continuity
planning for enterprise systems.
- University Service/Departmental
Expectations:- Serve as a member of the Data Management Committee (DMC), a University shared-governance entity focused on data
and information management. - Attend all departmental and other planning meetings. At the request of the CIO, represent the division
at additional campus or external meetings, events, or gatherings. - Participate in occasional after-hour, weekend, or holiday
support needs, upgrades, or emergency scenarios. - Engage in university service work that promotes collaboration and community
building. This includes participating in organizational initiatives, supporting campus events, contributing to community outreach, and
fostering a diverse and inclusive environment through involvement in various staff-driven activities and groups. - Other duties as
required and/or assigned.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum three (3) years of full-time professional experience in enterprise systems administration or
related technical role. - Demonstrated experience administering or supporting a Student Information System/Enterprise Resource
Planning system. - Experience integrating third-party systems with a SIS/ERP using APIs, flat-file transfers, or middleware.
- Proficiency in:
- SQL (query development, data analysis, stored procedures).
- PowerShell scripting and
automation.
- Experience managing or leading technical projects.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting
skills. - Ability to translate technical concepts into functional language for non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a related field.
- Work
experience in a higher education environment. - Experience with Jenzabar One.
- Experience with IBM Cognos.
- Experience with any of the following systems: Slate, Paycor, PowerFAIDS, Maxient, eResLife, Raisers Edge.
- Experience with
Microsoft SharePoint administration and development. - Experience with ETL tools.
- Experience with document
management/process automation. - Professional certification in project management (i.e. – PMP).
Physical Demands:
- Ability to spend long durations of the workday sitting at a
desk and working on a computer. - Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at a time.
Salary and FLSA Status:
- Salary: $80,000-85,000 annually
- FLSA Status:
Exempt 37.5 hours
