Summary

The Campus Shuttle Driver provides safe, reliable transportation for College employees and other authorized
passengers between designated parking areas and campus locations. This full-time, academic-year position works Monday through Friday, 8:30
a.m. – 5:30 p.m. The driver reports to the Director of Campus Safety but does not perform security or law-enforcement
duties.

Duties and Responsibilities


  • Operate a College passenger van or shuttle on assigned routes and
    schedules.
  • Pick up and drop off passengers safely, courteously, and on time.
  • Complete daily vehicle inspections and
    promptly report maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Keep the vehicle fueled, clean, and ready for service.
  • Assist passengers
    as needed, including use of accessibility equipment when trained.
  • Maintain basic mileage, passenger, fuel, and inspection
    records.
  • Follow all traffic laws, College vehicle policies, and approved routes.
  • Perform other transportation-related
    duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent and at least 21 years of
    age.
  • Valid Pennsylvania Class C driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and ability to meet College insurance
    requirements.
  • Dependable attendance, good judgment, and professional customer service skills.
  • Ability to work
    independently, communicate clearly, and remain patient in traffic and changing weather.
  • Previous passenger transportation or
    customer service experience preferred.
  • Ability to sit and drive for extended periods, enter and exit the vehicle frequently, work
    briefly outdoors in all weather, and lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Successful completion of required background and driving-record
    checks.
