Title: Commons Associate – Sanitation (FT, FY)

Position Purpose:

This position is
responsible for following food safety and sanitation procedures as well as demonstrating positive relationships with individuals and groups
with varying backgrounds, perspectives, education and skills.

Job Duties:

• Performs dish
  room tasks which include loading and unloading, scrime line, and cleaning of silver.
• Performs janitorial tasks which include
  cleaning bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, dusting, cleaning windows and mats, as well as recycling and trash room maintenance.
• Ensures that proper sanitation and safety standards are being followed.
• Maintains the highest levels of customer service
  practices at all times.
• Ensures that sound environmental practices, composting, recycling, waste reduction are maintained.
• Promotes and values diversity and practices two-way communication.
• Attends monthly meetings for Dining, Conferences and Campus
  Events.
• Assists in other areas of the operation as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent desired.
• Serve Safe certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.

Experience

Previous food service experience desired.

Skills and Knowledge

  skills are a must.
• Ability to multitask.
