Cleveland State University (CSU) is seeking a Coordinator, Benefits to support the campus as it modernizes human resources and continues to provide a comprehensive range of benefits designed to promote the health, well-being, and financial security of CSU employees and their families.


Job Summary

Provides administrative and front-line employee support for Cleveland State University (CSU) employee benefits. Collaborates with carrier partners to uphold financial and data integrity standards. Maintains a high level of confidentiality, exceptional organizational skills, and a strong commitment to delivering responsible support to others. Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications


  • High school diploma, GED, or state recognized equivalent.
  • Experience in benefits administration.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Human Capital Management (HCM) software systems.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)


  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and have a “Customer Focus” attitude and delivery.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Clearly and effectively conveys information to various audiences.
  • Works cooperatively across HR functions, colleges, and departments.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
  • Ability to provide empathy and professionalism when assisting employees.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint.
