POSITION SPECIFICS


The Pennsylvania State University, Department of Ecosystem Science and Management is seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to provide administrative and professional support as a Graduate Program Coordinator. This role coordinates all aspects of the graduate program, from prospective student support to graduation certification.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for current and prospective graduate students



  • Coordinate recruitment, including inquiries, campus visits, and orientation


  • Monitor student progress, schedule exams and defenses, and manage Graduate School paperwork



  • Update systems including GRADS and maintain student databases


  • Process graduate appointments, offer letters, and terminations



  • Schedule graduate courses and assist students with course planning


  • Provide administrative support to the Graduate Program Director



  • Maintain listservs and department forms


Required Qualifications:


  • Strong organizational, communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently and collaboratively.



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and Zoom.



  • Familiarity with LionPATH, GRADS, GRATS, GRMS, and Workday.


Additional Information:


After an initial training period of 6 months, a hybrid work schedule may be approved by the supervisor.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS

General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or High School (HS) 2+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted Required Certifications: None

Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies.

SALARY & BENEFITS



The salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $38,300.00 – $55,500.00.
