The
incumbent must exercise sound judgment when reviewing and approving transactions, ensuring that all actions comply with institutional
policies, established business processes, and regulatory requirements. This position regularly handles confidential and sensitive employee
information and is expected to maintain the highest level of discretion and professionalism.

This position requires an in-person work
arrangement during the first ninety (90) days of employment to facilitate training, onboarding, and integration into departmental
operations. Following the successful completion of the introductory period, the position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement in
accordance with university policies and department guidelines.



Essential Functions


1. Talent Acquisition
and Employment Services Responsibilities:


  • Guide hiring managers throughout the recruitment, selection, hiring, and onboarding
    processes, ensuring compliance with university policies, procedures, and employment regulations.
  • Post and manage faculty and staff
    employment vacancies utilizing the Workday Recruiting Applicant Tracking System (ATS), ensuring job titles, classifications, and postings
    are aligned with university standards and practices.
  • Review, screen, and evaluate applications and resumes to identify qualified
    candidates and present recommendations to hiring managers through Workday Recruiting.
  • Submit background check requests promptly and
    monitor their progress to ensure timely completion and compliance with university hiring requirements
  • Prepare, review, and issue
    employment offer letters in a timely manner to support an efficient and positive candidate experience.
  • Coordinate pre-employment
    requirements and maintain communication with candidates and hiring managers to facilitate a smooth transition from selection to
    onboarding.
  • Assist new employees with onboarding activities as needed.
  • Facilitate the completion of Form I-9 employment
    Eligibility Verification requirements for all newly hired employees, either virtually or in person, and process E-Verify submissions in
    accordance with federal requirements.
  • Provide guidance and support to faculty, staff, supervisors, and new hires regarding
    recruitment, onboarding, employment procedures, and Human Resources policies.
  • Serve as the primary backup to the Talent Acquisition
    Manager and provide continuity of Talent Acquisition services during periods of absence


2. Performs various functions in the
HRIS system, including:

  • Initiates and processes transactions in Workday HCM and Recruiting, including creating job requisitions,
    referring applicants, and inviting candidates to apply for vacant positions.
  • Reviews and approves Workday business processes related
    to hiring, placements, organizational assignments, transfers, termination, and other staffing actions.
  • Ensures all employee
    information, including position title, is displayed consistently within Workday and aligns with established naming conventions and
    institutional standards.
  • Monitors the TeamDynamix ticketing system and responds to open inquiries within established service-level
    expectations, typically within 72 hours of receipt.
  • Participates in the testing and validation of Workday system releases and
    enhancements to assess functionality, identify potential issues, and support the implementation of new features and process
    improvements.
  • Maintains compliance with university policies, procedures, and data integrity standards while supporting recruitment,
    employment, and organizational management processes.
  • Provides customer service and first-level technical support to faculty, staff,
    students, and departmental representatives regarding Workday transactions, employment processes, and HR-related inquiries.
  • Monitors
    transactions to ensure changes are properly reflected in Workday and related systems, supporting data integrity and operational
    efficiency.


3. Reports and Data Management


  • Downloads and reviews weekly new hire onboarding reports to monitor the
    completion status of onboarding requirements for both active and future-dated hires.
  • Tracks outstanding tasks, identifies incomplete
    onboarding activities, and follows up with new employees, hiring managers.
  • Proactively follows up on pending items to support
    compliance with university policies and federal employment regulations.
  • Communicates and reports employee status changes, including
    resignations, classification changes, contract modifications, and other employment-relation actions to internal partners (Payroll, Benefits)
    to ensure all required actions are completed accurately.

Qualifications Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in
    any discipline is required.
  • 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in Human Resources is required. 5 or more years of
    directly related professional experience may substitute for the required educational qualifications.
  • Prior experience utilizing
    Workday HCM, and recruiting is highly preferred.
  • Must be able to navigate and utilize multiple Human Resources information systems
    and ticketing platforms.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with faculty, staff, students, and campus partners while
    representing the Human Resources department in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Demonstrates a high level of integrity and
    accountability in handling confidential Human Resources information.
