The Law Office Coordinator oversees the daily operations of the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Legal
Clinic, ensuring efficient office management and exceptional support for clinic staff, students, and clients.
Full-time, hourly role
located at the School of Law on the Omaha campus.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage office operations, including
reception, phones, email, calendars, supplies, equipment, and SharePoint. - Maintain physical and electronic client files and oversee
case intake and client communications. - Support clinic operations by managing practice management systems, reporting data, and
documenting office procedures. - Train and supervise students in office procedures and legal practice software.
- Review,
coordinate signatures, and electronically file legal documents. - Coordinate meetings, workshops, conferences, and community outreach
events. - Reconcile IOLTA and purchasing card (P-card) accounts, assist with billing, accounts payable, grant reporting, and budget
tracking. - Monitor and report student work hours and provide administrative support to clinic co-directors and the School of
Law.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience required.
- 2+ years of legal
and/or professional office experience is strongly preferred. - Event coordination experience preferred.
Knowledge,
Skills & Abilities
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other office
software necessary. - Knowledge of legal terminology, office practices, and procedures preferred.
- Ability to prioritize
multiple tasks, work independently, and maintain confidentiality. - Experience training others and managing administrative processes
is helpful. - Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively under deadlines.
