and aesthetically pleasing environment in which students, faculty, and staff can function and accomplish their educational objectives and by
supporting a patient care culture that continuously improves. Facilities Services’ responsibilities include Interior and Exterior Facilities
Support, Construction, Space Management, and Environmental Services.


Job Summary

Responsible for supervision of all
grounds related duties and staff required for Exterior Maintenance of pressure washing for exterior hardscaped areas at Augusta University-
campuses include but not limited to Health Sciences, Summerville, Christenberry Field House, University Village, Riverfront Campus, Clay
Street Warehouse, and Gracewood.

Responsibilities


The job duties include, but are not limited to:

Pressure Washing Operations and Supervision


Provide hands-on maintenance, training, and supervision for
grounds/facility pressure washing related tasks.

Tasks to include supervision and performing pressure washing: building exteriors,
stairways, sidewalks, entryways, outdoor seating areas, loading docks, signage, recreational spaces, exterior furniture and waste
receptacles, and other hardscape surfaces.


Ensures facilities are protected when pressure washing is performed to prevent water
intrusion and further damage.

Scheduling of responsibilities of team, communicating with other teams for assistance or to provide
assistance as needed, planning equipment needs for tasks.


Provide labor time accounting utilizing ServiceNow, tracking events and
team hours in ServiceNow, Smart Inspect or other Facility tracking program.

Coordination with faculty


Coordination with faculty and staff to ensure student safety, noise considerations around facilities, exterior maintenance expectations are
met, and accessibility issues are addressed.

Monitor equipment maintenance needs


Communicate with mechanic
for repairs and service on all equipment.

Report equipment needs to manager/director as needed.


Ensures routine maintenance
is performed (oil change, filter change, hoses in good condition, O-rings in working order, fasteners tightened, etc. and properly document
repairs completed and to be performed.

Ensures daily cleaning of equipment after usage.



Safety

Ensure and perform safe operations of vehicles, golf carts, trailers, and small tractors.


Follow institutional safety protocols,
including required PPE, chemical handling, and safe equipment operation from team.

Establish work zones with cones, barricades, and
proper signage to ensure pedestrian and vehicle safety.


Communicate water pooling and slip hazards to Grounds or EVS teams to assist
with ensuring safe surfaces.

Performs Related Work as Required


Coordinates and assists crews with campus
event setups, pressure washing, weed and pest control, irrigation and masonry repairs, painting assignments.

Follows all
departmental and University policies. Treats students, coworkers, supervisors, faculty, and visitors with respect.



Attends campus
event walk through and setup meetings.

Performs any other duties and assignments as instructed by supervisor.


Required
Qualifications

High school diploma/GED from a recognized state or federal accrediting organization with three years’ experience
in ground maintenance, pressure washing, exterior cleaning, or related. Current driver’s license required to operate AU golf carts and
vehicles. Must meet USG requirements to operate AU vehicles.



Preferred Qualifications

Two or more years of pressure
washing experience around a campus or large facility with understanding of chemicals and how they impact Students, Staff, and Faculty.


Involvement in Power Washers of North America (PWNA) or United Association of Mobile Contract Cleaners

Must possess initiative and self-motivational skills.

Must be able to work well with others, must possess ability to make decisions
independently on routine assignments.


Shift/Salary/Benefits

Shift: Days: Monday – Friday



Pay Band: 5

Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the
position

Conditions of Employment

All selected

Driver’s License Statement

The Human Resources

license.
