Job Summary
The Parking Services Department at CU Boulder invites
applications for a Parking Enforcement Specialist! The position is part of the CU Boulder Parking Services Enforcement Team
which is responsible for enforcement of all campus parking lots, loading docks and service parking spaces on campus. The Enforcement
Specialists determine if the vehicles on campus have the appropriate credentials for where they are parked to ensure efficient campus
operations. The Parking Services Department utilizes License Plate Recognition (LPR) software by Genetec, Inc., and AIMS Campus Permit
Software by EDC Corp. CU Parking Services provides on-the-job training for all software and other systems used by the Enforcement Team. This
position works with and supports all Parking Services units. Additionally, this position acts as a Parking Services “ambassador” through
daily interactions with campus partners and constituents while fulfilling the job duties across campus. This position operates a University
vehicle, radio, cell phone, body camera and laptop while working on campus to fulfill the enforcement functions required.

Who We Are
Parking and
Transportation Services (PTS) is a department within the Auxiliary Services unit of Business, Finance and Infrastructure (BFI) at the
University of Colorado Boulder. The BFI goal is to provide innovative customer service and revenue focused solutions to support our campus
and local community clients. Parking and Transportation Services ensures our collective success by supporting the University of Colorado
Boulder’s strategic goals, supporting and investing in our workforce, meeting our fiscal responsibilities as a self-funded university
business and planning for a sustainable future.
What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
- Patrol University
grounds for parking infractions and other issues that impede ingress and egress routes. This includes reviewing parking credentials and
issuing citations. - Support departmental operations by collection data on parking lot occupancy and resource usage through various
media. - Support Events team through field work before and during special events. You may be asked to support campus-wide events held
during your scheduled shift, which may require an adjustment to your start or end time on a given day. Campus-wide events include Bolder
Boulder, commencement, move-in, and football games. This support includes assisting with campus events by helping to control traffic for
ingress/ egress and engaging with guests attending the event. This support also includes setting up and maintaining equipment in the field
for special events. - Ensure minimal impact to campus operations through support of Facilities, Events and other departmental units
working with campus event coordinators, contractors, and project managers. - Field questions and comments from campus constituents
and visitors regarding parking regulations. - Convey protocols and personnel assignments for special events.
- Communicate
with vehicle owners regarding infractions and suggested remedies. - Work with appropriate campus resources to resolve issues beyond
their control. - Respond to emergent needs as directed by department needs. This may also include collaboration with University Police
to facilitate safety concerns for the campus and public good.
What You Should Know
- There are two
positions available. - These positions are in-person, on campus. The work schedule is four (4) 10 hour shifts.
- Sunday through
Wednesday shifts with one position for 1st shift and one position for 2nd shift: - 1st shift: 7:45am – 6:15pm
- 2nd shift:
12:00pm – 10:30pm

$44,376.

What We Require
- 1 year of customer service experience.
- Basic computer skills.
- Smart phone operational knowledge.

- The ability to confront the public in direct ways, without
creating a hostile environment, with an ability to de-escalate a situation. - The ability to write reports and have good oral and
written communication skills to train, organize, educate and supervise. - Experience working in a larger (20,000+ student population)
university environment. - Experience working in a modern, technology driven parking program with License Plate Recognition technology
and the application of citation issuance through the application of smart phone technology.
