About the Role
The EXCELerator is seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Front Desk Office Assistant to
provide evening support for our student success center. This position plays a key role in creating a welcoming and efficient environment for
students, staff, and visitors. If you enjoy helping others, have strong communication skills, and thrive in a fast-paced setting, we’d love
to have you on our team.
This is a part-time 16 hours per week schedule: Monday-Thursday, from 3:30 pm to 8:00
pm
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome students, staff, and visitors in a professional and friendly
manner. - Answer phone calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate staff member.
- Schedule academic and career coaching
appointments. - Maintain accurate records, assist with data entry, and generate reports as needed.
- Manage office supplies
and help keep the front desk area organized. - Prepare spaces for classroom visits and guide visitors to their destinations.
- Provide administrative support for staff and assist with event coordination.
Qualifications
- High
school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred. - Previous customer service or administrative experience
preferred. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new software systems.
- Strong verbal and written
communication skills. - Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain organized in a busy environment.
- Friendly, patient, and
student-focused attitude.
