SENIOR FINANCIAL ANALYST

The successful candidate will be required to:

· Perform and/or review reconciliations, and other internal control supporting schedules as assigned;

· Complete intercompany statements and reconciliations;

· Review monthly operational schedules prepared by other operating units;

· Ensure all entries reviewed are in compliance with UWI policy and generally accepted accounting policies;

· Develop analytical tools and techniques to analyze financial drivers of assigned portfolios;

· Provide increased analytic visibility using the Enterprise Reporting Solutions;

· Manage sections of the Enterprise Resource Planning software for the accounting operations (Ellucian Banner);

· Impart learning and skills to junior analysts and other team members.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

• Masters in accounting or MBA;
• ACCA professional level 3 or its equivalent from another globally recognized professional accounting body (e.g., CPA, CA, CFA);

• Minimum of 5 years practical experience in delivering monthly financial analysis, data analytics or managing a team of analysts delivering KPIs.

Candidates who possess the following will be at a distinct advantage:

• Excellent communication, presentation and writing skills;
• Proficient in the use of critical software applications with experience in ERP Systems
• Skilled in SQL and database development in an enterprise environment (Oracle, PeopleSoft or SQL Server)
• Expertise in institutional accounting systems, databases, data extraction methods, and report presentation;
• Ability to take initiative and ownership of assigned projects;
• Strong problem-solving skills, working with stakeholders and other team members to fully analyze issues and develop insights and actionable recommendations;
• Understanding of fund accounting.
