The
opportunity
The Senior ITS Infrastructure Architect reports directly to the AVP, Cloud and Systems Services. You will provide
enterprise-level architecture leadership for secure, resilient, scalable, and cost-effective cloud, infrastructure, data, and AI-enabling
platforms. You will translate business and technology strategy into practical architecture roadmaps, standards, design patterns, and
solutions that support enterprise applications, advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and large language model
workloads. Working across technology, security, data, operations, and business teams, the role guides solution design and delivery,
establishes governance and cloud guardrails, optimizes cost and performance, and ensures successful transition to operation while aligning
with SNHU’s enterprise architecture, security, compliance, service management, and operational standards.

What You’ll Do:
- Develop and
maintain enterprise architecture roadmaps, standards, reference architectures, and design patterns for multi cloud, infrastructure, data,
and AI-enabling platforms. - Design secure, scalable, resilient, and cost-optimized multi cloud and hybrid-cloud
infrastructure to support enterprise applications, advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and large language model
workloads. - Architect secure landing zones, compute foundations, and integration approaches that ensure reliable AI and
data platform capabilities. - Translate business, technical, security, compliance, and operational requirements into
practical architecture decisions, solution designs, and implementation guidance. - Work with peer architects to help
establish architectural governance, design review, lifecycle management, and service management practices that align with enterprise
architecture and ITIL-based operating models. - Working with Information Security architects, help to define cloud
security, identity and access management, data isolation, monitoring, compliance, and multi-tenant guardrails for enterprise infrastructure
and AI-enabled environments. - Evaluate latest technologies, cloud services, AI platform capabilities, vendor solutions,
and infrastructure standards to support business outcomes and reduce operational risk. - Partner with project teams,
engineers, architects, security teams, data teams, vendors, and partners to guide solution delivery and ensure successful transition to
operation. - Work with Cloud Engineers to mature existing cloud financial management and FinOps practices to forecast,
monitor, and optimize infrastructure, storage, compute, data movement, and AI workload costs. - Create clear architecture
documentation, decision records, recommendations, and presentations for technical, operational, and leadership
audiences. - Provide mentorship for peers and engineers as prescribed by leadership

responsibilities as assigned.
What We’re Looking For:
- 15+ years of related experience,
including experience with enterprise-scale multi cloud infrastructure, systems architecture, data platforms, security, governance, and
service management. - Associates Degree (or higher).
- Experience with software/system development
lifecycle, and operational support models. - Direct experience with AI infrastructure foundations, including cloud AI
services, pipeline orchestration, scalable compute, secure data movement, monitoring, and lifecycle management. - Direct
experience managing complex network, cloud-native, microservices, identity, data ingestion, security, and multi-tenant architecture
considerations. - Direct experience with enterprise architecture, cloud infrastructure, data platforms, security
principles, IT standards, ITSM/ITIL practices, and operational governance. - Experience translating complex business,
technical, security, and compliance requirements into clear architecture roadmaps, solution designs, and implementation
guidance. - Experience with implementing enterprise AI infrastructure patterns, including secure landing zones, data
pipelines, model execution environments, cloud-native AI services, monitoring, and lifecycle management. - Experience
with evaluating new technologies, assess architecture alternatives, estimate financial and operational impacts, and balance short-term
delivery needs with long-term enterprise outcomes. - Experience with maturing FinOps practices for forecasting,
monitoring, and optimizing cloud compute, storage, data movement, GPU-enabled services, and AI workload
costs. - Experience in higher education or regulated enterprise environments. (e.g., HIPPA, SOX, PCI,
FERPA) - Experience working with Agile, DevOps, infrastructure as code, and cloud operating
models. - Experience with Multi Cloud OpenAI Service, Multi Cloud AI services, Databricks, Synapse, cloud data lakes,
vector databases, or comparable AI and data platform services.

Compensation
The annual pay range for this position is $125,298.00
– $200,516.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business
considerations. We expect this position to be hired in the following target hiring range $138,456.00 – $187,323.00.
