Work Schedule: Varies based on business needs. Considered essential and may be required to work during
campus closures and inclement weather. Most often Monday-Friday, 6:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Position Introduction:


Cafe 201 is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Supervisor to serve as a
first-line leader overseeing food service operations. This role is responsible for coordinating food preparation, production, and service
while ensuring quality, efficiency, and compliance with university and health department standards. The Supervisor plays a key role in
maintaining smooth daily operations by monitoring food quality, managing supplies, supporting financial processes, and providing excellent
customer service. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced
dining environment.

Coordinates food preparation and serving of food. Monitors food preparation methods, portion sizes, and
presentation of the food. Oversees inventory and procurement. Ensures adequate supplies, materials and equipment are available. Monitors the
safety and cleanliness of the facility and equipment. Adheres to university and Health Department quality standards. Assists with
preparation of master menus. Oversees operation of cash register, prepares daily cash report. Responds to customer inquiries regarding food
quality, service, or accommodations and resolves the problems and routine complaints. Prepares various reports for management regarding the
operation of the facility, sanitation, food preparation and any complaints or problems. Maintains regulatory, compliance, and operational
records. Opens and secures facility. May assume responsibility for a second shift. Attends meetings, in-service training, and work related
classes. Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the functions of the position.

    may be required to work during University closings and inclement weather.

    operation.
  • Hepatitis A Vaccine required if hired, or annual testing.
  • Cleveland County
    Food Handlers Card required within 30-days of hire.

Required Education and Experience:


  • High school diploma or GED
    or graduate of culinary school.
  • 36 months experience in food services to include 12 months in a supervisory role.

Required Certifications and Licenses:

  • ServSafe Certification.
  • Sanitation Certification may be required
    upon employment.

Department Preferences:


  • ServSafe Certification.
  • 12 months of restaurant
    kitchen/cooking supervisory experience.
