Job Summary
The Testing Services Coordinator provides leadership and college-wide coordination of placement and testing services to ensure accurate, secure, and student-centered testing operations. This position oversees daily testing center activities, supervises assigned staff, and supports continuous quality improvement through data-informed decision-making, policy development, and alignment with best practices in college testing administration. The Coordinator collaborates closely with Student Services, faculty, academic support units, IT, and external partners to deliver reliable testing services that support student success, academic integrity, and institutional goals.
Supervisor Responsibilities:
Manage a team of 2, which includes:
- Overseeing daily operations and guiding team members to ensure productivity and efficiency.
- Conducting regular check-ins and delivering constructive feedback.
- Addressing and resolving team conflicts or issues promptly.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure compliance with FERPA, institutional policies, and applicable federal and state regulations governing student records and testing services.
- Demonstrate adaptability while effectively utilizing student information systems, testing platforms, learning management systems, and related technologies to support accurate operations, reporting, and continuous improvement.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with students, faculty, staff, and external partners; address testing concerns and technical issues; and connect students with appropriate campus resources as needed.
- Utilize strong problem-solving skills to address challenges while consistently upholding testing procedures, policies, and service standards.
- Build and supervise a high-performing team by setting clear expectations, providing training and coaching, and supporting employee development, accountability, and professionalism.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a testing center, academic support services, or related higher education setting with direct responsibility for student-facing operations
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree

- Work is normally performed in a general office environment.
- Work performed requires sensitivity and responsiveness to changing goals, priorities and needs.
- This position requires mobility to work in a standard office setting, use office equipment, and communicate effectively in person, virtually, and by phone. Light physical activity is involved, including lifting up to 25 pounds with proper equipment, and reasonable accommodation is provided as needed

Description of Job Duty
- Oversee the daily operations of Testing Services and develop testing schedules that align with the needs of students and faculty.
- Supervises, trains and mentors testing center staff.
- Recommend annual Testing Services budget and manage budget responsibly.
- Develop and improve services, policies and procedures in response to changing demands, remaining current in best and research-based practices in the area of college test administration.
- Ensure academic integrity through current certification and compliance with standards of the National College Testing Association and college policy. Serve as the primary person responsible for addressing and reporting violations of academic integrity.
- Collaborate internally and externally to support college initiatives and deliver testing services that meet the needs of students, faculty, and the community.
- Works with college IT and personnel to ensure quality testing experience and support when system problems occur.
- Collect and analyze data on service usage, placement distribution, and student success to inform continuous improvement, prepare regular reports, and recommend staffing, procedural, and programmatic enhancements.
- Proctor placement tests, and course exams for Kishwaukee College students.
- Serves as front-line expert user and trainer for the testing scheduling system for students with accommodations.
- Serves on College committees and performs other duties as assigned by the Dean of Academic Support Services
