Summary of Job
Duties:
The Parking Services Liaison reports to the Assistant Director, Business Services. The position will review and
evaluate written parking citation appeals in accordance with established policies and procedures; determine appropriate outcomes including
upholding, reducing, issuing warnings, or dismissing citations. Prepare and deliver clear, professional written responses that communicate
decisions and support rationale. This position will also serve as a point of contact for escalated customer inquiries, resolving complex
issues with professionalism, consistency, and sound judgment; conduct periodic assessments of campus parking facilities, including signage
and lot conditions, to ensure accuracy, visibility, and alignment with enforcement practices; and provides recommendations for improvements
as needed.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain
collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Qualifications:
Minimum
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least two years of experience in administrative law, code
enforcement, paralegal work, or high-level customer service involving conflict resolution. - Valid driver’s
license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, Public Administration, or a
related field preferred. - Campus parking enforcement experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of
department operations, policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations. - Knowledge of accounting principles.
- Ability
to plan, organize, and coordinate activities, resources, and materials associated with the needs of the department or
program. - Ability to interpret complex legal codes and apply them to specific often unique scenarios.
- Exceptional written
communication skills with the ability to maintain neutrality, professionalism, and clarity under pressure.
