Optimizing our enrollment mix is crucial to the long-term viability of Indiana University (IU) Indianapolis. There are several factors that influence a student’s college choice, persistence, graduation, and success. The Division of Enrollment Management (The Division) is comprised of over 100 full-time staff in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships, Office of the Registrar, Office for Veterans and Military personnel, as well as other areas supporting student enrollment. The Division also oversees and provides insight for its enrollment operations for the Fort Wayne and Columbus campuses.

Job Summary
Department-Specific Responsibilities
- Oversees the onboarding, training, and professional development of 2 Slate Portal Developers
- Collaborates with both internal and external stakeholders regarding their project needs and timelines
- Prioritizes the work of the team and oversees the management of portal projects
- Develops creative solutions to address known issues; proposes innovative solutions that enhance the end users portal experience
- Develops, maintains, and provides ongoing quality improvement of portals within Slate Customer Relationship Management (CRM) including form development
- Manages the development and directs application, enrollment management, and data analytics functions that meet Indiana University standards for data security and user management
- Acts as a process development expert and internal consultant
- Stays current with CRM system trends and advancements, makes recommendations
General Responsibilities
- Provides experienced design and development for new and existing applications (web, mobile, etc.) in support of business initiatives/operational needs
- Consults with stakeholders to review existing applications; provides experienced analysis of business needs and requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints; develops new functionality and/or codes necessary changes/updates/fixes
- Provides technical support for the maintenance and upgrade of applications, including packaging and deployment of releases
- Tests application performance and functionality; performs quality assurance checks and fixes bugs accordingly
- Documents application development efforts (changes, new functionality, issue/problem resolution)
- Collaborates with team leaders, functional clients, and other technical teams on the planning, implementation, and support of new applications; ensures optimum functionality, performance, accessibility, scalability, and security of new and existing applications
- Ensures that all protocols used in the development and maintenance of applications are up to date and compliant with university policies and standards; researches and stays up-to-date on new industry development standards, emerging technology, User Experience(UX)/User Interface (UI) design/philosophy, and accessibility standards

EDUCATION
Required
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in computer science or a related field)
WORK EXPERIENCE
Required
- 2 years of applications development or related experience
Preferred
- 5 years of related experience
- Experience with education abroad-specific CRM systems, and/or admissions CRM systems and database management
- Slate experience preferred
- Familiarity with higher education as an industry, and associated application processes and business practices

Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.

$72,000.00 – 75,166.00 annually
