Job Summary
The Human Resources Department at CU Boulder invites applications
for a Learning and Development Coordinator! The Organization and Employee Development unit (OED) in the Department of Human
Resources offers employee learning opportunities and other development services for individuals at all levels of the campus. This unit
coordinates with other units within Human Resources as well as across campus for employee learning opportunities. OED also provides
organization development services for the campus. The Coordinator provides logistical coordination and administrative support to OED.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
Coordination:Independently coordinates all logistics for trainings:
- In-Person Trainings: Secures and sets
up rooms, completes scheduling, orders catering as needed. Procures training and office supplies, and coffee and tea. Prepares training
materials and all related stationery (roster, evaluation forms, letters, certificates, etc.), and AV equipment as requested. Manages
inventory of physical training materials. - Virtual Trainings: Creates and manages calendar invites and Zoom meeting links manages and
sends all virtual materials or physical materials according to the coordination schedule. Produces virtual experiences: creates and runs
Zoom polls, organizes breakout rooms, and provides customer service live during a training.
Client Communications
Management:
- Autonomously manages 3 additional inboxes and calendars: hr-training, hr-arce-training, and
hr-arce-346. - Confirms course participation and sends welcome emails and calendar invites to confirm attendance. Requests speedtype
information as needed. - Answers questions regarding training details, parking, rescheduling, missed content, etc.
- Sends
follow-up emails with relevant resources after training sessions.
Information Management:
- Ensures training
sessions are on HR calendars, trainers’ calendars, Percipio, CU Events Calendar, HR Website, and OED spreadsheet. Identifies inconsistencies
and exercises judgment in conjunction with the Director on all communication outlets for the training team. - Provides accurate
communication to presenters and participants. - Manages Registration Infrastructure.
- Manages Percipio rosters for 20+ training
programs through OED. - Manages rosters, wait lists, watch lists, and withdrawals.
OED
Support:
- Supports presenters with timely support during the training.
- Coordinates scheduling with outside presenters
as needed.
Technical leader supporting the training team with department requests:
- Leads weekly team meetings,
provides enrollment information, and follows up with team members on upcoming department requests. - Administers codes or other
training access for participants. Sends consistent reminders prior to the event and provides updates to the client. - Prepares
training materials which may include printing packets, assembling binders, folders, or other materials for facilitators. Clearly labels what
materials are included for the facilitator upon pickup.
Liaison for Learning Management System
(LMS):
- Serves as liaison to the System Office in Denver to maintain instructor-led courses and session
information. - Submits new course information to the System Office.
- Frequently is called upon as an expert to problem solve
challenges related to the entire cycle of training coordination and support.
Finance and Vendor
Interface:
- Works with external vendors (Crucial Learning, FranklinCovey, RIPP Leadership, Gallup, Real Colors) to order
training materials. - Submits invoices to CU Marketplace for large orders from external vendors (typically Crucial Learning and RIPP
Leadership). Works with the PSC team at the System Office to initiate order processing, make changes, or resolve any errors, with support
from the CPO Executive Assistant. - Creates and submits expense reports in Concur for materials such as CliftonStrengths codes,
training room refreshments, office supplies, and shipping services. - In collaboration with the Director, solves complex problems
related to vendor management, system office needs, and training materials coordination, including shipping errors and speedtype
allocations. - Tracks participants’ speedtypes in a shared spreadsheet and verifies accuracy before submitting to the CPO Executive
Assistant. Creates invoices for fund 34 speedtypes.
Provide Technical Support for OED Online
Courses:
- Supports other OED team members as needed, particularly related to event planning, campus-wide communications, and
evaluation development. - Assists with Onboarding programs such as QuickStart and the New Employee Welcome Experience as
needed.
Communications:
- In collaboration with the Director and HR Communications, writes and distributes
communications (articles, newsletter submissions, announcements) highlighting professional development opportunities through widespread
emails, HR website, CU Boulder Today and Staff Council newsletters. - Collaborates with HR Communications Professional to strategize
and produce new communications. - Is responsible for the Learning and Development HR site. Collaboratively makes updates and revisions
while conducting monthly audits.
Training Evaluation:
- Develops Kirkpatrick’s Level 1 training evaluations
using Qualtrics, based off Phillip’s Associates “Training Transfer Factors”. - Administers evaluations to participants, both on paper
and electronically, after training sessions. - Consolidates evaluation summaries for review and reporting purposes.

needs.
What We Can Offer
The annual hiring range for this full-time position is
$55,000-$60,000.

What We Require
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and two years of
relevant professional experience. - An equivalent combination of experience and education may substitute.
- Experience with
online tools such as Zoom, Teams, Adobe Connect, etc.
What You Will Need
- Strong written and verbal
communication skills. - Proactive approach to work with a focus on details.
- Outstanding internal and external customer service
skills. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Organizational
skills and demonstrated ability to work quickly and effectively in high-pressure, time-sensitive situations and environments with strict
deadlines. - Demonstrated ability to work independently and prioritize tasks and projects.
- Comfort level with being and
speaking on camera, sustained focus and attention to details during virtual trainings and meetings.
