Reporting
directly to the President & CEO, the CFO serves as an integral member of the executive
leadership team, providing strategic
financial
vision, trusted counsel, and operational leadership to support the Foundation’s mission and
growth.

What
You’ll Do
As
CFO, you will:
- Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to the President & CEO and
executive leadership
team - Lead
financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and organizational financial strategy - Oversee
accounting,
treasury, audit, tax, and
financial reporting functions - Monitor and strengthen internal controls and enterprise
financial risk
management - Work
closely with the Outsourced Chief Investment Officer (OCIO) and support the Investment Committee in
endowment
stewardship - Partner
with colleagues on gift administration, donor restrictions, and philanthropic financial
modeling -
Develop key financial dashboards
and metrics to support strategic and Board decision-making - Lead and mentor a
high-performing
finance team - Drive
continuous improvement in financial systems, reporting tools, and operational
processes
What We’re Looking For
We seek a
collaborative and visionary financial executive with:

Proven success in senior
finance leadership (CFO, Controller, or
equivalent) - Deep expertise in accounting, financial strategy, and
organizational
stewardship - Experience with complex
investment portfolios, including public and private equity - Strong
understanding of
GAAP, GASB, audits, tax compliance, and
internal controls - Exceptional communication and
relationship-building
skills - Experience working with governing boards
and executive leadership - A leadership style
grounded in collaboration,
mentorship, and accountability - A passion for
mission-driven work and organizational impact
Minimum
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance,
Business Administration, or related
field - CPA
certification required - Minimum 10 years of progressive finance and
accounting leadership
experience - Experience with
financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, tax filings, audits, and
compliance - Experience supervising and developing teams
Preferred: Master’s degree and experience in nonprofit
organizations, higher education, foundations, or endowment
management.
Compensation
Salary Range:
$177,900 – $227,800
Compensation is commensurate with experience and
qualifications.

700 Lomas Blvd.
Ne, Albuquerque, NM 87102 - Monday–Friday 8am – 5pm
- Ability and willingness to work
extended hours,
including evenings or
weekends as needed
