Job Description:
Essential Function 1: Maintenance of CRE LG vehicles
Supporting Activities


Checking oil and other needed checks in the morning before a vehicle can be released and used by a Land Grant staff. Making sure all tools are readily available at all times in each of the vehicles. Repair and change parts for all LG vehicles if needed. Do other preventive maintenance as needed and to keep a maintenance Log In at all times.

Essential Function 2: Maintenance of LG Boat(s)
Supporting Activities



Checking boat engine’s operational components weekly and release before usage. Make sure

engine is in good operational condition after each use. Supervise needed overhaul of the boats



and motors as needed. Acquire needed parts of service. Keep a maintenance log at all times.

Essential Function 3: Electrical Maintenance
Supporting Activities


Responsible for fixing fault electrical wiring. Changing light bulbs and fixtures if and when
they are not functioning properly. Acquiring needed tools and parts for servicing. Recording
maintenance log in at all times. Surveying and monitoring the electrical distributions and usage
in all Land Grant facilities.

Essential Function 4: Maintenance of Electrical Appliances
Supporting Activities


Responsible for fixing and maintaining all LG appliances such as air conditioners,
refrigerators, freezers, pressure washers, ect. Acquiring of tool parts needed for fixing an
appliance if needed to be functioned. Keep a maintenance log at all times

Essential Function 5: Maintenance of all other LG equipment excluding IT equipment
Supporting Activities


Checking equipment’s operational condition weekly and release before usage by other
departments of Land Grant. Equipment such as tillers, wood chippers, small engines, mixtures,
etc.. Making sure equipment is in good operational condition after usage. Supervise needed
overall of the equipment as necessary. Acquiring needed parts of servicing. Keep a
maintenance log at all times.

Essential Function 5: Monthly update and inventory
Supporting Activities


Complete an inventory list of equipment, supplies and materials and present a report during a
staff meeting at the end of each month

Required Qualification:


  • A high school diploma with at least 1 year of general repair and maintenance experience.
  • Knowledge of the use and operation of hand tools, power tools and equipment
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects
  • Ability to climb and work on scaffolds and ladder
  • Familiarity with vehicle and boat operations, repairs and maintenance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma with at least 4 years of general repair and maintenance experience.
  • The acquisition of a skilled trade or technical license/certificate
