The Facilities
Management Services Division seeks to hire a Senior Director, Finance & Administration who will serve as a key
member of the leadership team, providing strategic direction and oversight of financial, administrative, and operational functions in
support of Georgia State University’s mission.
This position reports to the This position reports to the Vice President,
Facilities & Building Services and serves as a trusted advisor on financial, operational, and organizational matters.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:
The
Senior Director, Finance & Administration will provide strategic leadership for the division’s financial, administrative, operational,
customer service, technology, and project management functions. This role ensures effective stewardship of resources, alignment with
institutional priorities, and delivery of high-quality services across the division.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
INCLUDE:
- Strategic Leadership and Financial Management: Lead the development and execution of divisional
financial strategy aligned with institutional goals and priorities. Direct all budget planning, forecasting, and financial reporting
activities, including operating and capital budgets. Evaluate financial trends, assess resource needs, and develop recommendations to
support strategic initiatives and decision-making. - Budgeting, Forecasting, and Financial Analysis: Oversee the
preparation, monitoring, and adjustment of budgets and financial plans. Provide detailed financial analyses, projections, and reports to
senior leadership. Establish and maintain systems to track funding utilization, financial performance, and compliance with university
policies and budgetary requirements. - Administrative and Operational Oversight: Provide leadership and direction
for administrative, operational, and service delivery functions across the division. Establish performance standards, service metrics, and
continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and customer satisfaction. Monitor performance indicators and
implement strategies to improve operational outcomes. Collaborate with the Human Resources Business Partner to support workforce planning,
organizational design, staffing strategies, and position management. Review and approve staffing plans and resource allocations to ensure
alignment with operational needs and budget constraints. Promote employee engagement, leadership development, and succession planning
initiatives. - Project and Contract Oversight:Direct financial and administrative oversight for capital projects,
construction contracts, consulting agreements, and special initiatives. Establish governance frameworks and monitoring processes to ensure
projects are delivered within approved budgets, timelines, and funding structures. Ensure appropriate stewardship of all funding supporting
divisional initiatives. - Other duties:Ensure compliance with institutional policies, financial regulations, and
internal control standards. Implement governance practices and risk management strategies to safeguard divisional resources and ensure
accountability in all financial and operational activities. Serve as a key member of the division’s executive leadership team. Represent the
division on university committees, strategic initiatives, and institutional task forces. Act as a principle advisor to the Vice President
and may act on their behalf as needed.

Qualifications:
Minimum Hiring
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field and seven years of
progressively responsible finance and administrative management experience, including supervisory experience; or a combination of education
and related experience.
Preferred Hiring Qualifications:
- Experience managing large operating and
capital budgets. - Experience overseeing capital projects, construction contracts, and facilities-related
operations. - Experience in higher education or public-sector administration.
- Experience serving as a strategic advisor to
executive leadership. - Experience leading administrative and operational functions across multiple departments.
- Experience
with workforce planning, organizational design, and resource management.
