Humanities Tutor (Remote)
Off Da Beaten Path Learning LLC seeks an
online
Humanities tutor to guide a 12th grade homeschool learner through our self-directed education model, where students choose what, how,
and
when they learn. Success is measured by learner confidence, creativity, and independence. 88% of learners achieve their self-defined
goals.
64% identify as neurodivergent and/or disabled.

Key Responsibilities
Support and coach learners through
curiosity-driven,
individualized sessions. Prepare based on each learner’s goals and needs. Encourage accountability and growth. Collaborate
with families and
team members.



Details

  • Online, 1 hour per week | Wednesdays 11:30 AM EST preferred
  • Paid
    onboarding and training.
  • $400/month,
    fixed on a monthly basis.


Qualifications

  • 10+ years experience
    as a tutor, coach, or mentor.
  • Strong higher education level
    humanities knowledge.
  • Respect for learner autonomy; creative,
    curious, adaptable, and reliable.
  • Excellent communication skills.
    Professional.
  • Comfortable with video conferencing (Zoom,
    Google Meet) when needed


Preferred

  • Creative, fun, and innovative
    educator.

  • Familiarity with self-directed education, unschooling, or alternative learning models.
  • Experience in community
