Summary of Job Duties:
The Office Support Specialist for University Recreation + Wellness
provides administrative support to ensure efficient operations of the office and membership services. This role also supports departmental
staff with a variety of tasks and duties while offering assistance with customer service needs.
Regular, reliable and non-disruptive
attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with
others.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Formal education equivalent of a
bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education - At least two years of experience in administration or related
area
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in higher education
- Experience working with college age
students - Experience working with membership databases
- Experience with the University of Arkansas software systems, such as
Workday, UAConnect, SharePoint, and Perceptive Content
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of the
organization and administration of various higher education academic and social programs - Knowledge of campus and community
resources - Knowledge of state, federal, and campus rules, regulations, and requirements related to campus academic and social
programs - Knowledge of or ability to learn and explain membership records policies and procedures
- Knowledge of or ability to
learn and use Microsoft Office software - Knowledge of or ability to learn and use basic office equipment: phone, computer, printer,
copier, and fax - Knowledge of or ability to learn FERPA regulations
- Knowledge of or ability to learn and use Perceptive
Content, document imaging - Experience in business writing and editing skills
- Ability to evaluate collected information and
formulate into recommendations - Ability to compile information into report form
